London’s Top Five Dessert Shops

Canadian in London, Jowairiyya Khan is better known as the Floralista for her fun and feminine Instagram feed. Pretty in pink is an understatement when it comes to this mom who indulges her sweet tooth in some of London’s cutest cafes. Here’s her list of London’s top five dessert shops.

I have been a Londoner for over eight years now and there are countless things I love about it-the culture, sights, fashion and more importantly, the amazing variety of food. London is a cosmopolitan hub where you can find the best of any cuisine, the coolest street eats and also the yummiest desserts. I consider myself a bit of a sweet tooth connoisseur so here are some of my must-visit sweet spots.

Elan Cafe

No London dessert list would be complete without this Insta famous cafe.  It has expanded rapidly and there are now five locations around London. Elan is known for its stunning pink installations and decor, complimented by some of the prettiest pastry selections I have ever seen. Their latte art game is strong too.

Saint Aymes

A fairly newcomer to London, Saint Aymes was started by two amazing sisters who set up a little cafe made up of cute treats and unicorn dreams in west London. They are known for their stunning floral installations as well as some pretty drinks like their delicious 24K hot chocolate.

Dominique Ansel Bakery

For dessert lovers this one doesn’t need an introduction. This is the London branch of the world famous New York patisserie. I have never had a dessert there I have not liked. Definitely drop by to try their famous original cronuts – but make sure you get there early as theget sold out quickly.

Peggy Porschen

This is a London institution. There’s always a queue of people waiting to take a photo outside its Instagram famous facade which changes with every season. The desserts are lovely too.

L’Eto Caffe

This was the original sweet spot for me and I still love popping into one of their many locations for a slice of their homemade cake or the yummiest saffron milk cake.
