A STORY SPANNING TWO CONTINENTS
Vijya Ghelani’s story of loss and love spans two continents. Growing up in Uganda, Vijya recalls her caring Father and the lavish wedding he planned for his daughter. Years later, along with all the other Indians in Uganda, the family was forced to leave the country. Dictator Idi Amin gave them a short timeframe to leave. The Ghelani family settled in Leicester, England. That’s where we met with Vijya to hear her stories.
